I contacted Precision Garage Door because one of my big coil springs had snapped so my opener couldn't lift the door. While the service call was for a broken spring, I also knew that my house was built 30 years ago and I've lived here for the past 14 years and I expect most of the door hardware hadn't been replaced in all that time (I replaced the opener several years ago so that part was OK). I got a same-day appointment. Bryan took the time to inspect all the door hardware and went over the conditions he found and which parts were critical and which parts would probably be the next to fail. He showed me the wear indicators, including metal shavings, and then he went over all my options. I decided to replace just about every moving part and was happy to get it all done at once rather than waiting for the next bit to fail. Bryan went to work and, from the time my spring broke to the time my door was all fixed up with new hardware was only a few hours. Great service, great results plus a 5 year warranty.

Bryan was a good communicator before, during and at final inspection. His evaluation of all 3 garage doors identified issues that needed to be taken care of today. He also provided an itemized list and $estimate of future needs for 2 doors. All 3 are the original 60 yr-old heavy wooden doors!. He replaced rollers on all 3 doors and springs on one, and performed lube and tune on all doors as well as adjusting the safety sensors on 1 door. Technically he was very good, courteous and professional, and eager to do an outstanding job. After he left I was disappointed to find gobs of lubricant/oil left on the concrete floor at the bottom of each rail. I’ll clean it up or the oily substance will be tracked into the house by my dogs and me. A drop cloth or piece of cardboard routinely placed under each rail before lube and tune begins will solve this issue. I feel confident that this won’t happen again with Bryan.

I called Precision when our spring snapped in the evening. Not only did they answer but they were able to book me for an appointment the following day. Bryan arrived early and confirmed the main issue, but wanted to perform a standard inspection. What he found was an aging system that needed a lot more work than we anticipated. My wife and I had been talking bout having service done anyway, since the garage door was so loud, and having Bryan present some of the areas of concern confirmed to my wife and I that we would perform the other services. Bryan did a great job at completing the work he outlined. He reviewed the work with us and was very friendly and professional.
