Precision Garage Door technician, William Fletcher was very helpful. On the inspection, he answered all my questions and explained everything, along with showing me the physical issues. His answers were at my level, which is someone who has limited mechanical knowledge. When William came back to do the repairs (after parts ordered), he was professional and polite. The garage door opener was installed about a year ago by Colton who did a great job installing it. Recently, it started making noise and closing at a variable rate. I called the office late yesterday and Colton was here before noon today! After listening to my comments he checked out the door and made a few adjustments and had it working perfectly again. Colton was professional, listened well, and explained in detail what he did and why and made sure I was completely satisficed. By the way the work was covered under warranty - they have a great one. Based on my experience with Precision Door, I'd highly recommend them.

I called to have a maintenance check performed on my garage door, which had not been done for a long time. Cody came out that day. After a review, he gave me 3 options for repair. Our opener, door, and associated mechanisms were original to the house and not counting occasional minor repairs, thirty years old or more. Things break down over that kind of time frame, especially with daily use. Initially when the door wouldn't open, I contacted a different company. The technician said the opener needed a new sprocket, a simple fix, except he didn't have one with him. We agreed on him returning two days later between 3 and 6 pm. He showed up hours early, when I wasn't home, then said I would have to reschedule for after the weekend. Sorry, no. I went online and made an appointment with Precision, who despite it being a Friday afternoon already, delivered on the promise of same day service. Are they pricey? Well, yes. Did the technician really call his boss to authorize a discount on the package of recommended service items? I have no way of knowing, and while I'm betting on it being a well-practiced move in any case, after the experience with the first company, I didn't really care. Look, not all of us are do-everything-yourself people, and I am certainly not an experienced garage door technician. Even if I knew how to do what needed to be done, it would have taken me a lot longer and the results would not be as professional as what Colton accomplished in a couple of hours, by which time a predicted heavy snow was falling. What is certain is that within a few hours of my contacting Precision Garage Door Service, instead of a thirty year old system comprising piecemeal parts and repairs, any of which could cease to function at any time, we had one with components that fit and work together perfectly, are warrantied for five years, and do not cause the entire house to vibrate every time the garage door opens and closes. Honestly, the difference is amazing, and I don't see how you could fake that. I suppose that if one has the time, one could and should shop around, but aside from possibly the cost, I can't imagine having a better experience with a company than Precision Garage Door Service.

We had William and Cody to resolve operation issues with our garage door opening this past fall. The solution was to replace the lift springs with a single torsion spring along with minor track and roller adjustments. All of the previous problems were resolved and the door function is much better than expected and so much quieter! Both of the servicemen were professional and courteous the entire time that they were here. They cleaned up any debris that they removed from the old springs. A big thank-you to Thomas Chalfant and Precision Garage Door Fort Collins! I was having trouble with my garage door opener for a few weeks, but couldn't begin to guess what was causing the problem. Thomas inspected the door and saw a few indicators right away. He explained what he thought were the things that, if repaired/replaced, would make improvements, and he worked with me to match the repairs to my budget. He was very courteous and knowledgeable, and had the skills and parts needed to make the repair in short order. Colton Deeney performed a 25-point inspection on my two garage doors and explained the details to me in an informative (and not at all aggressive) way, and advised me of my options and explained his recommendations. My doors are 22 years old and have never needed repair work until one of the torsion springs just broke. He replaced all 3 torsion springs and repaired what needed to be done to be sure the garage doors are safe. He arrived ahead of time (with my permission) and was very happy, and friendly; also very knowledgeable, professional, efficient and quick. It was a pleasure meeting him; I will recommend him to anyone I know who might need your services. HE IS DEFINITELY A KEEPER!!!

During the incredibly cold weather on Jan 15, I opened my garage door to go out and get the newspaper. Got it and hit the button to close the door and it would not close. It was below zero and snowing. I frantically text my neighbor (the kindest man in the universe) he came over to my house and got the door closed. I called several companies this morning. Wow. What an operation. Garage door broke late at night. Got a confirmation email and follow up call within hours. Got garage door fixed with in 24 hours is sub zero temp. Best part was technician called apon his arrival said he needed to get gas and was 10 minutes out and offered me a coffee from gas station. Are you kidding who does that? People who care and are good at what they do.
