I have no way of knowing, and while I'm betting on it being a well-practiced move in any case, after the experience with the first company, I didn't really care. Look, not all of us are do-everything-yourself people, and I am certainly not an experienced garage door technician. Even if I knew how to do what needed to be done, it would have taken me a lot longer and the results would not be as professional as what Colton accomplished in a couple of hours, by which time a predicted heavy snow was falling. What is certain is that within a few hours of my contacting Precision Garage Door Service, instead of a thirty year old system comprising piecemeal parts and repairs, any of which could cease to function at any time, we had one with components that fit and work together perfectly, are warrantied for five years, and do not cause the entire house to vibrate every time the garage door opens and closes. Honestly, the difference is amazing, and I don't see how you could fake that. I suppose that if one has the time, one could and should shop around, but aside from possibly the cost, I can't imagine having a better experience with a company than Precision Garage Door Service.
