I feel ripped off. I contacted Precision inquiring about service and rates. I told them I had a Guardian opener less than 6 years old. I had talked to Guardian about my problem and they told me it was the logic/circuit board and gave me an email address to order a new one. Precision told me their service person had everything necessary on his truck and I didn’t need to order it. The service person came, told me it was the circuit board, which I had told him when he arrived, told me he didn’t have one and that it would need to be ordered, it would be $65 for the call and he’d come back when it came. I told him that that wasn’t fair. I already knew it was the circuit board and they told me not to order it, that they had one. Now I’d have to double pay. The service person told me he wouldn’t charge me for the second service call. Six days later the circuit board came in and the service person came back. He did a great job installing it and it worked great. The charge was another $75! I asked about what he’d said about no service charge the second time and he said this was labor charge. I asked him if it would have been $65 plus $75 if he hadn’t given me “service” for free and he said yes. So BEWARE. That’s $140 for a trip out with no purchase of parts. I paid another $56 for the circuit board directly from the manufacturer. So that’s $196 to replace a $48 part that was easy to install.

We do our best to carry every part needed for a basic repair on our trucks, such as springs, bearings, rollers, cables and openers. Circuit boards cover such a wide variety of opener brands and models that it would be impossible to carry them all on our vehicles at any given time. I am so sorry if you were told otherwise and will address that issue. The $65 service fee is our charge to drive out to the home, complete a 25 point safety inspection of the door and diagnose the issue. After our technician has completed a full inspection, they then discuss any concerns about your door with you before agreeing to the work you would like to have done. Because we had to wait for your circuit board to arrive and could not do the repair same day as you had anticipated, we waived the service fee for the return call to complete the work. When our technician came out the second time to install the circuit board for you, he charged a $75 labor fee for the work that he was doing on your garage. I apologize again for any miscommunications we may have had and my offer still stands to refund your $65 service fee as a sign of goodwill if you decide you would like to do that. It was a pleasure speaking with you, thank you again for taking the time to return my call today.

I used the chat function on the website at 4:30pm. Fast response and given a 12-2 window the next day. At 12:05 William arrived. He was super pleasant and professional. Within an hour several issues were fixed. Could not be happier and will always recommend this company to friends and family.

I was very pleased with our experience with Precision Garage Door. They were able to schedule us for the very next day after I called, even though it wasn't an emergency. William installed a keypad entry and replaced a broken safety sensor. He did great work and explained everything well. He also rebalanced and straightened our garage door, eliminating an open gap along the right edge of the garage door, without even being asked.

Problem with the opener belt tension on one side of the belt track. It was making lots of noise, so I knew there was something wrong. Precision replaced the entire belt/track assembly for me ... no charge, since it was still under warranty, 1.5 years after it was installed. He even had one on the truck! I am VERY happy with this company and the service provided.

Cheerful and courteous service person. I have a garage double door which has one long enclosed main spring. That spring broke. I called them late on a Sunday night and they arrived the next day at noon. The price was higher than I expected. However, it works well and I now have have an easier system to service with a two spring system. It took about 2 hours to replace everything.

Wow, was I impressed with your service. I had been looking for a trustworthy company. I have friends who have had horror experiences with garage door repair people. The appointment was quick, not weeks out. The repairman was on time. He overlooked the junk in the garage as I was trying to move and could not get the garage door up. He showed us the little safety feature to get the door up without the lifter working. I was able to move my stuff out of the garage. The landlord can now deal with repairing or replacing the very old garage door lifter. Oh, the repairman(sorry, I think his name is Brandon) did a thorough inspection and writeup. I had some issues with my garage door, so I looked on-line and found Precision had several 5 star reviews. So I gave them a call. The customer service rep on the phone was very polite and helpful. She set up an appt. with a technician for the same day. Nick was assigned to my project. I reviewed all of reviews about Nick, prior to him arrive. All were 4 & 5 star. Once he arrived, I was not dissapointed. He listened to my concerns about the issues with our door. He inspected the door and advised me what could be done to rectify the problems. They ranged from basic cleaning and maintenace to replacement of worn parts. He explained what each level of service would be and how it would affect the future performance of the door. Although the door is 26 years old and still had many of the original parts, he never tried to "up sell" me on replacement parts. He did show me where many of the original parts were worn and estimated how much longer they may last. I could see with my own eyes the wear on the parts. Obviously I was having problems with the door, or I wouldn't have made the call in the first place. After looking at the parts, I was convinced that I was lucky we never had any "major" problems with the door, but could see where these original parts would soon fail and lead to major issues. After getting an estimate on costs, I decided to replace several of the original parts. Nick said he had the parts on his truck and could remove the old parts and replace the new parts without another trip. He completed the repairs in a timely and professional manner. He adjusted our opener and cleaned up everthing behind him. Upon completion, the door works as good as new. I am very pleased with Nick's performance and would recommend Precision and Nick to anyone. Although the Product list below only allowed me to select one item, Nick replaced the spring, rollers, and drums. All were about to have major failure due to age.
