Listen, I had estimates taken for the new springs for my garage door. I had A1 Garage Door out to do the work, and over the phone they quoted me one price and when they came out for the work, they raised the price X3. I then contacted Precision Garage Door and was treated like valued customer. They also quoted me over the phone a range but were honest and did the job for the quoted price. Their technician [ Scott] was very personable and thorough. He looked over our door and let us know that we may need some more work but did not push. Precision Door Service Rep was very professional and I was very satisfied with the work he did. I explained to him that I wanted the garage door to be serviced, e.g., check any portion of the door that needed to be service to keep the door in a good functional operational capability. I also asked him to tell me if any parts of the to door will be needed to be replaced. He inspected the door and did the necessary required services to it and informed me that the garage railing balls may have to be replaced in the future because of wear and tear. Otherwise the present operational condition of the door is okay. .

Had previously used Precision Garage Door Service (different dealer in another state) to repair a number of issues with an old garage door opener. Was very satisfied with the quality of service and products provided in that transaction. New house here in Windsor came with a garage door but no opener. Looked for Precision Garage Door in the area and found the Fort Collins dealer. Called the local office on a Monday and had a new garage door opener by Tuesday afternoon. Spoke to Amanda on Monday about what I wanted. She passed the information to Tyler and he called Tuesday morning to discuss details. Colten was there in early afternoon and finished installing a new belt-drive opener with a very nice Liftmaster opener plus the wall mount control, the exterior key-pad, and the remote accessories. He also upgraded the original rollers with nylon-covered rollers for a quieter movement. The install was all very smooth and satisfactory. I am very pleased with the results of this transaction. I definitely suggest you consider Precision Garage Door of Fort Collins for your garage door opener issues. The staff is very courteous and professional. Colten was extremely patient with all my questions and helpful with explanations of the features of the opener.

Was willing to make appointment that was a few days away. They responded same day and found a tech with availability. 1st tech was running late so they sent another. Brenden was the tech and did a great job--he probably does this kind of repair (replace broken springs) 50 times a week! Bottom line, Precision was very professional. I feel ripped off. I contacted Precision inquiring about service and rates. I told them I had a Guardian opener less than 6 years old. I had talked to Guardian about my problem and they told me it was the logic/circuit board and gave me an email address to order a new one. Precision told me their service person had everything necessary on his truck and I didn’t need to order it. The service person came, told me it was the circuit board, which I had told him when he arrived, told me he didn’t have one and that it would need to be ordered, it would be $65 for the call and he’d come back when it came. I told him that that wasn’t fair. I already knew it was the circuit board and they told me not to order it, that they had one. Now I’d have to double pay. The service person told me he wouldn’t charge me for the second service call. Six days later the circuit board came in and the service person came back. He did a great job installing it and it worked great. The charge was another $75! I asked about what he’d said about no service charge the second time and he said this was labor charge. I asked him if it would have been $65 plus $75 if he hadn’t given me “service” for free and he said yes. So BEWARE. That’s $140 for a trip out with no purchase of parts. I paid another $56 for the circuit board directly from the manufacturer. So that’s $196 to replace a $48 part that was easy to install.

We do our best to carry every part needed for a basic repair on our trucks, such as springs, bearings, rollers, cables and openers. Circuit boards cover such a wide variety of opener brands and models that it would be impossible to carry them all on our vehicles at any given time. I am so sorry if you were told otherwise and will address that issue. The $65 service fee is our charge to drive out to the home, complete a 25 point safety inspection of the door and diagnose the issue. After our technician has completed a full inspection, they then discuss any concerns about your door with you before agreeing to the work you would like to have done. Because we had to wait for your circuit board to arrive and could not do the repair same day as you had anticipated, we waived the service fee for the return call to complete the work. When our technician came out the second time to install the circuit board for you, he charged a $75 labor fee for the work that he was doing on your garage. I apologize again for any miscommunications we may have had and my offer still stands to refund your $65 service fee as a sign of goodwill if you decide you would like to do that. It was a pleasure speaking with you, thank you again for taking the time to return my call today.

I used the chat function on the website at 4:30pm. Fast response and given a 12-2 window the next day. At 12:05 William arrived. He was super pleasant and professional. Within an hour several issues were fixed. Could not be happier and will always recommend this company to friends and family.
